  26. I've successfully built gcc 2.2.2 on an RS/6k running 3.2.

  28. You don't mention it, but I assume you've:
  29. a)  gotten from IBM the replacement assembler mentioned in the 
  30.     README.RS6000
  31. b)  done a 'configure rs6000-ibm-aix' before you attempted the
  32.     first stage make?
