- We want to run our RS/6000's (AIX 3.2) 24-hours-a-day, so we can't do
- full backups using dump(1) because it requires single-user mode.
-
- Is it foolish to do "by-file" (rather than "by-inode") full and incremental
- backups with on-line mksysb's during full backups? I've read what little
- there is about mksysb(1) and I am utterly confused.
-
- Is there a way to avoid the tar(1) part of the mksysb(1) and just save the
- volume group information?
-
- Is it still true that you can't do a mksysb(1) using a remote tape drive?
