- Hi,
- I have an RS6K 530H which has a CDROM drive. I have taken a
- Microsoft Windows CDROM and mounted it on the system under /cdrom. I
- have then exported the directory /cdrom. If I go onto another Unix
- system (in this case, a MIPS R3000) and attempt to mount /cdrom on the
- original system it works fine. But if I try to mount /cdrom from an
- IBM PC running PCNFS, I get a message saying that the filesystem that
- I am trying to mount is not local to the RS6K. Anyone out there have
- any idea why this is happening? To make things even more interesting,
- when I mount the directory on a system running SCO Unix 3.2, it
- doesn't give me an error during the mount, but when I look in the
- directory where it is supposedly mounted there is nothing there. Why
- am I not surprised :-)
-
- Thanks,
-
