- Hello Folks,
-
- I've noticed that occasionally on my RS 6000/550 running AIX 3.2, that
- ps -ef will only give me user ID's in the field it usually gives user
- login names. It's as if it can't map uid to login names. This in on
- a system that is ypbind'ed to a Sun, but I can get any yp map with the
- ypcat command and it all seems to be working just fine. /bin/ls -l
- give the login names correctly. The trouble is only with ps.
-
- Has anyone else ever noticed this? The only fix I've found so far is
- to reboot the machine, but that is like shooting bugs with a shotgun.
-
- Thanks,
- Curt
