  16.   I've noticed that occasionally on my RS 6000/550 running AIX 3.2, that
  17.   ps -ef will only give me user ID's in the field it usually gives user
  18.   login names.  It's as if it can't map uid to login names.  This in on
  19.   a system that is ypbind'ed to a Sun, but I can get any yp map with the
  20.   ypcat command and it all seems to be working just fine.  /bin/ls -l 
  21.   give the login names correctly.  The trouble is only with ps.

  23.   Has anyone else ever noticed this?  The only fix I've found so far is
  24.   to reboot the machine, but that is like shooting bugs with a shotgun.
