- ok, I missed the original article, and swiped these bits from a

- I'd suggest looking into a macro package called S-Tables.tex
- (stables.tex). I believe it's on ymir, but I'm not sure --- the
- author sent me the file directly. it's a really sharp macro package
- for doing tables, and is very flexible. it does what you're looking
- for very easily (and the docs include examples of a table which
- does exactly that).
