- I have to generate postscript from Interleaf docs that contain
- several hundred pages of bitmaps. I currently have a doc whose
- first 100 pages produces a postscript file 140Mb long. I have
- discovered that pl2ps takes a '-cmprs' switch that compresses
- the bitmaps in a postscript master, and by editting the printers.lsp
- file to use this switch I can reduce the postscript coming from the
- same 100 pages to 9.3Mb!
-
- However, nothing seems to be able to handle this new postscript file
- except pageview from OW 3.0 in my sun!
-
- Does anyone have any info on what exactly the -cmprs switch does?
- What kind of compression does it produce?
-
- I would be very grateful for any light anyone can shed on this.
