- Microsoft (intentionally!) has ported none of their packages
- to the sun environment, as far as I know. SunPC is the way to go
- if you must run these specific packages, or you can get equivalents:
-
- FrameMaker/Interleaf - can filter in/out WFW 2.0 RTF documents
- Wingz/Lotus 123 - can read in excel formatted worksheets
- Autoplan - I don't think it understands MS Project or CA
- Superproject

- The latter three packages should run fine under SunPC. I use
- an accelerator board, but I don't think it's critical for these
- packages, if you have enough memory on your machine to get it working
- properly (and run it on a sparc 2 class machine). Corel Draw is a
- fantastic but immensely power-hungry program; it is slow even with
- the accelerator. I haven't seen the native unix application run,
- but I would assume that it is faster (has anyone else out there tried
- it?).

- A company called "Retix" should have one for the suns; I have
- no idea how well it runs, but they are known for their OSI packages.
