  12. There are a number of internal adjustments on the Hitachi 19"
  13. monitor.  Most notably, the focus pot in the high voltage section.
  14. It is best not to tinkeer unless you have requisite experience.  I
  15. found that my 19" monitor worked a lot better after I cleaned all
  16. the HV wiring with isopropyl alcohol.  This is risky becasue you
  17. could zap yourself if you don't discharge the CRT properly.  One
  18. should not just ground out the anode lead to the CRT becuse the
  19. charge dump can kill other components in the HV system; one should
  20. use a bleeder resistor.  The CRT is coated with anti-corona paint
  21. where the anode lead attaches.  Disconnecting the lead may reduce
  22. the anti-cornoa integrity.  Again, refer service to qualified
  23. persons.  At least you should now have a few ideas of what to ask
  24. to have done, if you don't make your own repairs.
