  11. I have a few questions about suns,  I just obtained a sun 3/80 and I am
  12. connecting a shoebox from a 3/50 to it.  First I got the cable with the
  13. SCSI I to SCSI II ends and I have been told this will work.  I have an
  14. internal HD in my 3/80.  To access this drive I obtained a SCSI terminator.
  15. When I attempt to boot off the internal SCSI (b sd(0,0,0)  is says booting but
  16. then just hangs.  I connected my shoebox to it and it did the same thing, I 
  17. even thought that the two drives might be conflicting and removed the internal
  18. and tried to just boot off the shoebox.  When I tried this I got a bus error 
  19. after some amount of time.  One of my questions, besides how
  20. to fix what is going on here, is how do you change the device number of the
  21. shoebox drive, since they both might be (0,0,0), and do you know of a what to
  22. find out what device a drive is.  I understand that there is suppose to be a
  23. switch or counter on the shoebox where the device number can be adjusted.  I
  24. cannot find any such things and do not have a clue how to change the device.
  25. I cannot access my internal HD and would like to know how.  I have also heard
  26. that the bus may be internally mapped to the internal drive and the drive might
  27. not have the OS on it.  If this is the case, how can I fix it so I can boot
  28. off the shoebox.  Any help will be appreciated.
