- [503]bermuda:hue: /usr/local/atalk/bin/nbplkup :LaserWriter
- AGFA SelectSet 5000:LaserWriter 0.134:253
- UNIX Spooler:LaserWriter 0.2:130
-
- One of our SS2 workstations is advertising its QMS ColorScript 40 as
- `UNIX Spooler:LaserWriter' on Ethertalk.
-
- Two pieces of free software will let you do this. Once is CAP, the Columbia
- AppleTalk Package, the other is netatalk from the Research Systems Unix Group
- at the Univ. of Michigan.
-
- They haven't released a version of netatalk that supports Phase II Ethertalk
- yet, so we run a mixture of CAP, netatalk, and uShare (a commercial product
- from IPT) here; when the Phase II netatalk comes out I'll probably get rid of
- CAP. netatalk for Sun4c (perhaps 4 and 4m also, I've never tried it)
- architectures uses a loadable kernel module to add the AppleTalk protocol
- stack to the kernel, pretty neat stuff IMHO.
-
- CAP or netatalk, plus NeWSPrint or TranScript, should allow you to print
- from the Mac to your Sparc.
