- There is a Wren VII entry in the distributed FORMAT.DAT
- file with SunOS. You just need to uncomment it.
-
- HOWEVER - I have found that some RECENT VII's won't work with
- Sun's distributed file. Apparently SEAGATE made a couple
- of firmware changes and the number of available sectors is
- slightly smaller. If you have trouble with it just take a
- couple of tracks off and you should be fine.
-
- Also -
- You may find you have some trouble with this depending on
- how you're using the disk. Early VII's don't work as boot
- disks on machines with the new OPEN BOOT PROM (typically ELC,
- IPX, and SPARC 2 machines, etc.). You get some nonsense
- about not being able to read the partition table, etc.
- There is an ugly fix for this. If you end up needing it let me know.
