- We have an Exabyte on our SGI machine, and I backup (dump) on that tape from our Sun.
- What we did was create a dummy user called 'backup', no special priveledges or anything
- like that.

- All you have to do then is specify a tape device of

- "backup@Machine.with.tape.drive:/device/name"

- and the dump command will use the remote tape drive as the user "backup" instead
- of as root.
