- hmmm... sounds like you want Solaris 2.0...
- Unfortunately, the DNS is already a complex beast and it will not change soon.
- If it were to change, it would be probably become more complex rather than
- simpler (perhaps and X.500 warrior could comment?)
- DNS is something that everyone with an Internet connection should be able to
- configure. The chapters on DNS in the Sun System Administration Manual do
- contain enough information and examples to get a simple DNS site working.
- For more information, I believe there is a Nutshell book on configuring DNS.
- Also, several large sites make their DNS configuration files available for
- anonymous ftp (bu.edu and ucsd.edu come to mind)
