- I'm sorry if this is a FAQ but I haven't been keeping up with the news
- recently.
-
- I am trying to save disk space on some of my sparcs so I have been using NFS
- mounts to reach the /usr/openwin on a file server sparc. I think however that
- I must need to do something else for olwm to run smoothly. It seems to spin
- up nicely enough, but it will only allow one x client with a remote computer.
- The second time I try to spin up the x client, I get a message saying unable
- to find display "a.b.c.d:0" where a.b.c.d is in fact the correct ip address
- for my sparc. In other cases I get a broken pipe message, e.g.:
-
- Process: 0x262ef0 (X Listener %socketl6000) Error: stackunderflow
- Stack:
- Executing: 'pop'
- At: {packedarray{4} 'stopped' 'pop' *'pop' 'closefile'
- 'du
- p' (r) 'file'}
- In: {... 4 'index' append 'put' packedarray{8} *'loop'}
- XIO: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) on X server ""
- after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
- The connection was probably broken by a server shutdown or KillClient.
-
- Any subsequent attempt to bring up a x client like xset, etc. also fail.
-
- Have I overlooked something fundamental, or should I be able to have olwm run
- correctly with just a NFS mount to remote /usr/openwin?
-
- Thanks in advance
