- I have an old 3/280 (I guess that's a tautology :-)) with an 890(?)MB
- drive on it. I'm trying to get rid of the sun3's at our site, but
- would like to keep the drive. SMD drives are no longer supported by
- SUN and so I can't just plug the old drive into the back of a new
- SPARC.
-
- What are my options? Is there something that will connect to the SCSI
- II port on the back of a SPARC and allow the reading of an SMD drive
- (Or SCSI I of course is fine as I can get a SCSI II -> SCSI I cable)?
-
- Do I have to buy a new drive, copy over the data and try to sell the
- old SMD to some other poor unfortunate?
-
- Why did SUN dump me?
-
- Any information, opinions, experiences etc would be greatly
- appreciated...
