- I would be willing to wager, also, that SGI has something of a surplus
- in sales and marketing (and probably elsewhere) after joining with Mips.
- Our meeting yesterday with the Support Marketing folks included one
- long-time employee of SGI and another who just came on board from Mips
- and will be handling our region after the "breaking in" period.

- I guess, from that standpoint, it's good that SGI didn't just absorb
- Mips and give the boot to all the employees. Hopefully, the best
- and the brightest from both companies will be around for some time,
- but it seems reasonable to expect SGI to trim down somewhat in several
- departments.
