  21. The scanner program will work with a ricoh is11 on the parallel
  22. port, but it seems that their bidirectional parallel protocol
  23. is different than most peoples, so even at the signal level,
  24. it may not work with your scanner.  You should be able
  25. to find out fairly quickly dumping commands to the port
  26. and then reading back (see 'man plp' for the ioctls to use,
  27. including the one to put it into bidirectional mode).
