- Contrary to Dave O's note, some early PIs do not have the required,
- soldered on tapped standoffs on the main graphics board and thus
- cannot get a turbo upgrade without a swap of the graphics board. This
- is unlikely, but has happened more than once to me.

- Also, there are combinations of prom, operating system, and turbo
- graphics revisions that cause the bottom line of the screen to flicker
- wildly in double buffer mode. This too is unlikely, but happened to
- me -- got my own revision of IRIX to fix this.

- In general, though, its a straigh forward swap. Just be sure not to
- bend those ( many many ) pins, and not to break those resistor packs
- while removing the RE chip.
