  15.   I have a 310 VGX running 4.0.4.  I have noticed
  16. that if I want to log in onto my machine using a
  17. dumb terminal attached to the serial port (ttyd1)
  18. that if I turn on the terminal, I can press return
  19. many times with no login prompt appearing.

  21.   If I reboot, then the login prompt appears and
  22. everything is fine.  I leave the machine on all
  23. the time, but turn off the console monitor and
  24. this dumb terminal.

  26.   I don't want to reboot everytime I wish to
  27. use the dumb terminal on ttyd1.  If I run
  28. ps -ef, it shows getty is running on ttyd1.

  30.   Any suggestions ?
