  26. Run 'gamma 1.7' as root, and then check that /etc/config/system.glGammaVal
  27. has 1.7000 (I forget the # of 0's) in it.

  29. The newer (4.0.5) startup scripts are better at sanity checking
  30. this file, and more defensive about it getting trashed in
  31. the first place.  It most commonly gets trashed when somebody
  32. powers off shortly after logging out, rather than shutting the
  33. system down.
