- Hi, I've got what hopefully is an easy question.
- I'm using telnet to log into our 310 VGX.
- If I use top I get the message :
-
- Sorry, I need to know a more specific
- terminal type than "network"
-
- Also, it is difficult to use vi.
-
- I tried using env TERM=vt100 to set
- the terminal, but it didn't take. If
- I do a printenv, it then says
- TERM=network
-
- Also, adding TERM=vt100 into my
- .profile file didn't change anything.
-
- How can I change my TERM type so things
- will work correctly ? Why is env not
- working ?
-
- Thanks alot,
-
- Farley.
