  12.     In the recent past, someone posted asking why his machine would
  13. not turn on when the power switch was thrown.  Unfortunately, that
  14. posting and the replies have expired on my new machine.

  16. I am currently having the following problem:

  18. I switched off (after shutdown) my 4D/310 so that I could reattach
  19. my CD-ROM drive.  I connected the drive and then turned the machine
  20. back on.  I pressed the switch and immediately walked away to the 
  21. console.  The power has not come on.  Power is being supplied to 
  22. the power cable, but pressing the on switch produces _no_ effect.
  23. There are two other switches on the outside of the machine, the reset
  24. in front (no effect, as expected) and a breaker-like switch on the
  25. back of the base of the small tower of this twin-tower unit.
