  20. Gosh -- I didn't mean to impugn the Apple ][.  What I meant was that
  21. Apple used a serial interface to the floppy drives way back in the
  22. dawn of time, and somehow managed to get as good -- you say even
  23. better -- performance than ``modern'' super high-speed-ten-VAX-
  24. equivalents-on-your-desk-workstations.
