  14. About a month ago I got kermit 5a from sonata, and it worked fine on
  15. my machine.  However, about two weeks ago, it started acting funny.  
  16. I can dial up a computer, but as soon as I try to 'connect', a copy
  17. of kermit gets started (i.e. a seperate process as shown by the 'ps' command).

  19. After that, I can't type the escape character (I assume this is because the
  20. two kermits are confliting with each other).  I can kill one of the
  21. kermit processes, but another one will start as soon as I try to connect
  22. again.  Obviously, something on my machine changed, but I don't know what
  23. (I've tried to reinstall kermit again, but it works the same).
  24. Any ideas?
