- Awhile back I read an article that described a research project that asked,
- "What's the most efficient way to do regular typing using only a mouse?"
- The answer used a scheme where that most recent few characters are used to
- predict the next few. The predictions are presented in a window, and the
- user clicks on the one (or a part of one) that is correct. That way,
- the user can get as many as ten or fifteen characters typed per mouse click.
-
- I know that sounds pretty bizarre. You had to be there 8-)
-
- Has anyone seen or heard of such a system for the NeXT, either product, demo,
- or prototype? I believe there is a commercial version for Mac. Anyone
- know its name?
-
- thanks
