- Hi All,
-
- We have just placed EquationBuilder0.9b(118) at
- sonata.cc.purdue.edu and cs.orst.edu. It can
- currently be found as
- pub/next/submissions/EquationBuilder0.9b118.tar.Z,
- but it will slowly migrate to the appropriate demo
- directories.
-
- The main change in this version is a new demo mode. This new
- version of EqB will run full featured for 2 minutes, then
- switch off all output including saving, printing, and
- copy/pasting to other applications. All other features
- will remain enabled. This gives 2 minutes with which to
- demo how well EqB interfaces with other applications,
- and an unlimited amount of time to get familiar with the
- application itself.
-
- We think that this new approach addresses most of the
- concerns that have been raised in the past week in these
- groups about what makes a reasonable demo (if not, I'm
- sure we'll find out ;-) Once again, we ask that anyone who
- finds that this demo does not allow them to adequately
- evaluate the application to contact us so we can make
- arrangements.
-
- Our apologies to those whom our previous demo may have
- unnecessarily annoyed. That was certainly not our
- intent. Given the recent discussion on this group about
- what makes a usable demo, we are much more aware of what the
- community expects. We hope this latest version meets
- those expectations.
-
- Thanks...
