- If you pop the back cover off, you'll see several holes inside of
- which lie adjustment screws. I had a hell of a time trying to adjust
- the focus using the hole given, so I took off the metal cover on
- the back (had to take off 7 or so screws). After this was removed,
- you could see on the opposite side of the adjustment hole for
- focus, is a clearly labelled focus knob, just as in TV sets of
- yore. It was very easy to turn and adjust, and I got about 90% of
- the sharpness back on the monitor.
-
- It's too bad that this knob isn't easier to adjust, as I have to
- go into our lab and do that 50 times or so (big drag, and high
- probability of getting shocked). I guess they just never forsaw
- the need to focus the monitor after it got out of the plant.
-
- So as Nathan said, it's probably not a good idea to poke around in
- there with a screwdriver while standing in a puddle of salt water
- in your bare feet, but if you're careful, you can get your focus
- back...
