- Anybody seen a blurring NeXT 21" color monitor?
-
- It is getting worse. It is also intermittant.
- NeXT Tech support sent a new ND board, which seemed
- to help, but no, 2 weeks later the problem reappeared.
- I now have a 17" color turbo, so when I see the problem, a quick
- switch of the monitor cables show that the problem is
- indeed the monitor and not the ND board. NeXT doesn't (can't)
- believe the monitor is bad.
-
- The defocus appears to be in the vertical... for example
- the letter 'I' looks fine, but the letter E looks horrible.
- Not being a video-weenie, it looks like an interference pattern
- has developed parallel to the vertical axis.
-
- Turning back the brightness helps, but often the 'best' point
- is barely readable.
-
- Given the fact the 21" was the "lesser of two evils" compared
- to the 17", is this a common situation for NeXT 21" customers?
