  10. I've had some problems with the above combination:
  11. (Stylewriter driver is version 7.2.2)

  13. -0- Under System 7 on a Powerbook, horizontally scaled text displays
  14.     text as normal width chars all jumbled. On System 6 machines it displays OK.

  16. -0- When printing on a Stylewriter it takes over 20 minutes to print a
  17.     page of A4 text. And people complain about 1 minute printing times!
  18.     I believe this is because of using scaled text.

  20. I don't have good access to the equipment so I haven't been able to experiment
  21. with the setup. But I would like a solution to the printing problem as I'll
  22. have to be using it again soon. So,

  24.     If I don't use TT will that help?
  25.     Does Adobe Type Manager overcome this problem?
  26.     I might be able to use a Deskwriter instead. Does this exhibit the
  27.     same problem?

  29. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. I could stop using horizontal
  30. scaling, but I find it very usefull for fitting text blocks into a given
  31. space. I believe Pagemaker 4.2 has this feature. Would it also have this
  32. printing problem?
