- WorldScript is the system extension which will simplify the job of
- making multi-script systems (e.g., with English, Hebrew, Chinese, and so
- on). Since I'm not at Apple, I can't say whether it will come with
- *fonts* for Chinese and Japanese, since those can be huge--the HonMincho
- TrueType font is 7 Mb. Judging from past experience, Apple will
- probably ship WorldScript with the resources for all the supported
- languages, including certain ugly (and small) fonts so that you can at
- least display something. Prettier fonts will likely be available
- separately. In the past, Apple supplied a Font Option Kit for
- Traditional Chinese that included several megabytes worth of
- nice-looking fonts.
