- They do not exist. The final, full, complete, official,
- the-way-Apple-is-really-going-to-do-it, cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die
- implementation of all four two-byte scripts for System 7 will be
- WorldScript, which will be released with System 7.1, which, I am told,
- is supposed to come out in the fall.
-
- There are, however, some short-term solutions:
-
- ChineseTalk II is Apple's official hack for getting traditional Chinese
- to work under System 7. It used to be available on the deverlopers CD;
- I'm not sure if it is any more. (It doesn't seem to be on our copy of
- the June CD.) It's a fairly nice product, on the whole.
-
- There is somebody else's hack that lets you do KanjiTalk under System 7;
- I think it's called GomTalk and is available at the standard ftp sites.
- I don't use it myself, but I've heard good things about it.
-
- Assuming that Apple will actually release 7.1 and WorldScript on time
- (ha, ha), you may want to wait until then rather than install these
- short-term solutions.
-
- This question has gotta be added to the FAQ list.
