  18. I think he means that he doesn't mind doing the work necessary to get a 386
  19. box running, much in the same way that many people don't mind grabbing a
  20. wrench and fixing up the family car, or fixing their own plumbing or
  21. electrical problems, etc., etc.  Whereas the boss would just call in an
  22. electrician (or other specialist), the guy at home generally rolls his own,
  23. usually for lack of hard cash to do it otherwise.
