- "Macintosh," "Lisa," and "SOS" among others, were internal project names that Apple
- didn't intend to use for final product names. If I'm not mistaken, every time
- someone from Apple said anything about Newton, the word was always followed by
- "technology," so they were always speaking of "Newton technology," and never about a
- hardware product called "Newton."
