  23. Apple has, in fact, said a little more about it than that.  The 
  24. Newton development system will be based on a new object-oriented
  25. language specifically designed for handheld PDA systems.  This
  26. means that there will be some learning curve, but at least we
  27. won't have to worry about things like converting between C and
  28. Pascal strings as we do on the Mac.
