- Since I started this thread a week ago, it has drifted away from what my
- intention was (not that thats bad).
-
- I am curious about how the public will accept Newton.
-
- I think we will all agree that those of us on the net are among the more
- technically inclined of the population. I would love to have a Newton but
- the 50 thousand of us on the net won't make Apple even come close to
- breaking even.
-
- Will Joe Q. Public buy the Newton? Would the person taking notes at the
- zoo buy a Newton instead of a portable? Will it really be easier for
- the general public?
-
- This last one is probably yes in a technical sense, but will it make life
- any easier to use the Newton than paper and pencil?
-
- I think you get my drift about what I'm really wondering about -
- Not whether Newton is better than a portable, but whether Netwon will have
- the impact the Mac did...
-
- Just curious,
- Brad
-
- P.S. Personally I would love to have a Newton and if it lives up to its claims
- I will be in heaven (and this from a person who cant survive without his
- HP-28S).
