- I used to use a Sharp JX600 for scanning graphics for design work, but have
- just happend upon a new solution which speeds the process significantly. I
- thought I would share it with you.

- I'm now using a Quadra700 with a HP ScanJet and I'll tell you, the speed
- difference is REMARKABLE. Not only does it pre-scan like a jet, but the
- scanning proceedure is so fast, that you will never want to open Photoshop
- until you actually want to MANIPULATE an image.

- When you have a heap of scans to do, and they are taking too long when they
- are just for positionals in a magazine, consider this option. It's fast and
- the software (DeskJet I think it's called) is really quite good because you
- can make a list of presets for the different types of images you often
- encounter for preset settings.
