- All right, we've had dozens of people asking about what they can do to
- use a external monitor or projection screen with their Powerbook
- 100, 140, 170, 145, 120 or 200. So, now ripped-off directly from Apple
- Computer, without their express permission, an exerpt from "The Apple
- Powerbook Solutions Guide!" Everything you ever wanted to know about
- video.

- BookView
- BookView is an adapter that allows you to add an additional external
- screen to your Macintosh PowerBook computer. The dealer-installed
- adapter duplicates the visual display on the internal screen and
- allows convenient connection to a variety of single-page,
- monochromatic monitors, including Apple, VGA, composite, and
- overhead projector screens. BookView is an ideal companion for on-
- the-road presentations. Salespeople, for example, can gather data
- with their PowerBook and display their findings for group pre-
- sentations on a large screen.

- BookView/Imperial
- The BookView/Imperial interface provides enhanced flexibility to
- PowerBook users who need color, gray-scale, or monochromatic
- output for their presentations. Presenters can tuck their PowerBook
- into the fullest of briefcases and arrive with a complete presentation.
- BookView/Imperial provides a full choice of monitor output plus an
- additional 4 megabytes of RAM. A pass-through connector accepts a
- 2-megabyte Apple card to allow full expansion to 8 megabytes of
- system RAM. It supports color and gray scales on the PowerBook
- 140 and 170 computers, and monochromatic output for the
- PowerBook 100. Standard and full-page VGA and Apple monitors,
- NTSC, and overhead projector screens are compatible with the
- BookView/Imperial. BookView Imperial will support up to 19-inch
- monitors in 8-bit color. Since the adapter functions only when an
- alternate screen monitor is enabled, power consumption is very low.
- The adapter must be dealer installed.
