- Finally, my 3 yrs old Apple 80 mb internal is dead. It has been suffering
- a problem so called HD sticktion for about an year. (Now, it simply doesn't
- start spinning.) Thus I am on the market for 100mb or so internal which is
- very RELIABLE. The question is that if we can count on the advertized MTBF.
- For example, a Corner drive (120mb) is advertized to have 150,000 hrs MTBF
- while a Fujitsu (90mb) is only 50,000 hrs. (I don't know how much for a
- Quantum. Whatever it is, mine lasted only a couple of thousand hrs.) Does
- it mean a Corner lasts average of three times longer than a Fujitsu? And
- can anyone recommend me a 1.reliable, 2.fast, and 3.quite internal which costs
- around or less than $400? Any of your answer will be greatly appreciated.
- Thanx.
-
- p.s. Is my dead Quantum recyclable?
