- [I'm posting this so people will realize this is an isolated case, and not
- a general incompatibility with the Rocket...]
-
- I'm typing this to you from TCP/Connect, running on a Mac IIx, with a 33 MHz
- Rocket talking through an Asante' MacCon+ II ethernet card. Not only that,
- but I've also got 16mb of RAM on the Rocket, so I'm running in 32-bit mode
- courtesy of Mode32. For the most part, my system is QUITE stable. It often
- runs from the time I turn it on in the morning until the time I turn if off
- when I leave.
-
- In an effort to help, let me tell you what software versions I'm running...
- - System Software 7.0 (with TuneUp 1.1.1)
- - Radius RocketWare v1.3
- - EtherTalk Phase I v1.2 (I used to run Phase I before we switched)
- - EtherTalk Phase II v2.3 (I've been using this for a month or so)
-
- My suggestion would be to start with a *completely* clean system folder,
- then install only EtherTalk and see if you can get network stuff to work
- (via Chooser, etc.). If that pans out, then add your other system extensions
- and control panels, a few at a time, until you find the culprit.
-
- If you don't even get that far (that is, a new system folder doesn't do it)
- then there may be some other hardware in your system that is conflicting
- with either the Rocket or the Ethernet board.
