- As some of my previous postings have suggested, I like the PowerBook's
- design and features. And I'd like to get one. I wouldn't, however, buy
- one on it's DOS capability alone. I've read (not personal experience to
- any real extent, mind you) that the capability, while it exists,
- isn't "robust," and that it's slow. But, you should try it
- out yourself beforehand. As you may be aware, PowerBooks don't run
- DOS on their own right out of the box, and you have to buy a third-party
- package ("SoftAT" is one example) to run DOS programs. I recently saw
- a list price for it in the neighborhood of $495. Not "chump change."
