  11. Diamond is about to release a new card, the Speedstar 24X.
  12. It has the same capabilities as the Speedstar 24, except it
  13. has a GUI accelerator chip.  It gets 11 million Winmarks, they
  14. say, vs. 8.5 million for the ATI Ultra and Stealth VRAM, the
  15. current champions.  The board will go on sale on Aug 1. at
  16. $199 from 1-800-800-5500.  I have no connection with
  17. Diamond or the distributor.  I just think this is a great card.
  18. Also, the card's svga modes are all Paradise instead of Tseng.
  19. I think this is a much better deal than the SS 24 unless you really
  20. need the Tseng 4k compatibility instead of Paradise.
