  11. I happen to have a WD1002A-27X. I was told by experts here that it definitely
  12. would work, but SSLLOOWW, on a machine with an AT bus. It has only two jumpers
  13. none of the kind you say.
  14. I also have several WD1004-27X, and I also have THE DOCUMENTATION for the 1004
  15. family (1004 and 1004A both -27X).It's also an XT oriented controller (8 bits).

  17. Sure enough there is jumper W28 which "allows the controller to operate with
  18. an XT computer when the jumper is OUT". It says nothing else, which may of
  19. course be interpreted as "put a jumper in position W28 if you want to have
  20. a controller that will work with no computer"... ;-)
