- From what I've heard, upgradeable motherboards are not all they're cracked
- up to be.
- In theory they sound great! But in practice, the cost of plugging in a new
- clock crystal and CPU is not significantly cheaper (if it is cheaper at all)
- than replacing the whole motherboard. The only real benefit is the ease
- of upgradeability-- just plug in a new chip instead of taking apart the
- whole computer.
- In terms of how well they work, I would also be interested in any responses.
