- I think it quite likely that you are seeing a beating effect from the 60 Hz
- of fluorescent lights in the store and the refresh frequency of the
- monitors. My eyes are very sensitive to the flicker of monitors with low
- refresh rates, and particularly on interlaced monitors since their effective
- refresh rates are even lower. 70+ Hz seems to be fine unless I am very
- tired. White, yellow, or other very light backgrounds intensify the
- effect. Any experts care to comment?
