  13. In looking around for good prices for the Adaptec
  14. 1542B, I've come across the PROMISE D2040.
  15.  
  16. It's got an impressive list of features, including:-
  17.  
  18.  >528MB drive support for DOS.
  19.  (up to via SIMMS) 16MB cache.
  20.  5MB data transfer rate.
  21.  supports two floppy drives.
  22.  Co-exists with any other controller.
  23.  Up to 4GB per drive.
  24.  Controlls up to 7 SCSI drives.
  25.  
  26. They seem to be new to the UK, and they're even more expensive
  27. than the Adaptec (D2040 price is around #250 - with NO RAM!)

  29. What I'd like to know is:-

  31. 1) Has anyone seen, or even heard of this controller?

  33. 1a) Is it any good?

  35. 2) Does anyone know if it supports / is supported by OS/2 2.0?
