- I just got this on Compu$erve. Diamond will be coming out with
- two new boards (in addition to the Speedstar 24 they just released)
- in the next month or so. The first, is the Speedstar 24X, which
- will list for about ten bucks more than the Speedstar 24, and will
- have a Western Digital graphics accelerator chip, I believe the
- 90C180 or something like that. Does anybody know what this chip
- can do? Anyway, it will support 640x480x24bit, 800x600x15bit,
- 1024x768x8bit, 1280x960x4bit, and 1280x1024x4bit. It will come
- bundled with some imaging software (form Halo?) and some sort of
- desktop manager type thing from Panacea.
-
- The other board which is duea out soon after the 24X is the Stealth
- 24. It will be a Stealth VRAM with a 640x480x24bit mode (no
- 800x600x15bit). It will cost about the same as the Stealth VRAM.
-
- I will probably get ahold of one of these.
