  13.     The problem with Emacs 18.58 not staying in the same column when 
  14. moving down a line is due to a bogus termcap entry. I do not know your 
  15. setup, but if you use the supplied termcap entry in directory examples,
  16. e.g. :

  18.     TERMCAP = <path>/examples/termcap
  19.     TERM    = vt52
  20.  
  21. then the above problem should dissapear.

  26. P.S. perhaps a german reader with access to atari.archive can post he emacs 
  27.      18.58 to another ftp site, since in the summer a.a does not get updated
  28.      so people in general are unaware to the new emacs existence.
