  13. I installed 18.58 with almost no changes (the only ones were in emacs.rc
  14. where I changed the paths for atari.el and dos-mode.el (well not really
  15. changed but converted from absolute to relative)).

  17. I had one main problem: 
  18. when moving downward with the cursor it sometimes (rather frequently)
  19. don't want to stay in the same column: for example, being in the 
  20. 10th column, when I move downward, the cursor stay in this column
  21. in the first line of each paragraph and gets back to the first column
  22. in the following lines of the paragraph (getting back to the 10th col
  23. when entering a new paragraph). 
  24. This would not be a problem if the 'point' changed accordingly (which
  25. is of course not the case): the cursor appears at the 1st col but is
  26. in fact still in the 10th and when I type some chars, what I see is
  27. really not what I get (as I don't write where I believe to).

  29. This at least appears in Text mode. (maybe in other modes too but I 
  30. don't remember and I haven't used it long enough)
