- Hi,
-
- I've been using the make that comes with HSC with gcc (mostly because
- I don't have another make). But something really interesting happens.
- If I run it off the desktop everything is fine (except the desktop
- doesn't do redirection, which means I can't run the makefile in
- question). However, if I run it under tcsh or mintshel, the programs
- that make calls complain that they don't get any command line
- arguments.
-
- I guess that this has something to do to the protocol for passing
- command line arguments (as in tcsh and mintshel uses ARGV but the HSC
- make doesn't(?)). In any case, is there anything I can do about this
- other than get a new make?
-
- If getting a new make is the only answer, can someone tell me where a
- good one is? I've already checked atari.archive. GNUmake 3.62 gives an
- out of memory error when ever I try to run it (even though I have 3.5
- Meg free before trying!) I don't think I had much luck with GNUmake
- 3.60 either.
-
- What does everyone else use? I can't be the only person who wants to
- use make under tcsh or mintshel!!!
-
- Please reply via e-mail. I'll post a summary.
