  14. I've been using the make that comes with HSC with gcc (mostly because
  15. I don't have another make). But something really interesting happens.
  16. If I run it off the desktop everything is fine (except the desktop
  17. doesn't do redirection, which means I can't run the makefile in
  18. question). However, if I run it under tcsh or mintshel, the programs
  19. that make calls complain that they don't get any command line
  20. arguments.

  22. I guess that this has something to do to the protocol for passing
  23. command line arguments (as in tcsh and mintshel uses ARGV but the HSC
  24. make doesn't(?)). In any case, is there anything I can do about this
  25. other than get a new make?

  27. If getting a new make is the only answer, can someone tell me where a
  28. good one is? I've already checked atari.archive. GNUmake 3.62 gives an
  29. out of memory error when ever I try to run it (even though I have 3.5
  30. Meg free before trying!) I don't think I had much luck with GNUmake
  31. 3.60 either.

  33. What does everyone else use? I can't be the only person who wants to
  34. use make under tcsh or mintshel!!!
