  12. Hello again. When I boot up my system for the first time, the floppy
  13. drives aren't recognised. I bought the system from a friend, and he
  14. says it's because the machine boots from hard drive and doesn't get
  15. around to checking for floppies - if I reset they appear fine, or if
  16. I change the number of installed drives using Control Panel++ then
  17. there's no problem. So this isn't a catastrophe, just a minor
  18. inconvenience. The thing is, when I bought this ST it had a program
  19. in the AUTO folder called 'TWODRIVE.PRG' which told the ST there 
  20. were two drives attached, but I accidentally lost it. The program 
  21. was actually written by my friend, and he's lost the source, so I 
  22. can't get another copy, but if this is a common problem then there
  23. must be something similar around in PD. Can anyone help?
